I think you forgot one more description.....brilliant :-)
I happen to agree with you.
My husband and I discovered Firefly over the holidays and watched the entire series on DVD. We have also seen Serenity.
When you get through the series and movie, please stop by my blog to read my Firefly posts (there may be spoilers, so beware).

I have just yesterday finished watching the Firefly series, in a complete rush, just as every other person who discovered the series on DVD and could not get enough! In fact, I am planning on watching the entire series again, from start to finish, so's I can get all the subtle nuances I missed the first time around. Plus I want to see it again, just 'cause it's so good. Then I'll watch the series again for good measure. Currently, I'm listening to the commentaries. After that, I'll watch the series again, then Serenity again, then the series...
well, I think you know where I'm going with this.
Oh, and thanks for the link to your blog, I'll read it!
I've complained to you many times about the poor writing and lousy acting in the latest Star War episodes. Firefly is an outstanding example of wit, great writing, acting, and interesting story-lines.
Now you have to get the new "Battlestar Galactica" DVDs. Darker tone but excellent story and effects.
Congrats on discovering Firefly!!! Isn't it... brilliant?!?! :-) Yay, we knew you'd love it. Oh, and Espella's right, BG is great as well--wonderfully done, although I'd have to say Firefly is closer to my heart.
Watched all 6 SW movies Friday--it rocked!!
I am now 1 disc away from watching the series for the second time. I can't get enough. I also have to listen to all the commentaries, as I have only heard about 4 of them. It's great to hear the cast talk lovingly about their time together.
