Well I've gone and done it. I have just purchased my ticket to see Goblet of Fire tomorrow at 11:30am @ the Cinemark Legacy theater in Plano, Texas. I will be there probably by 8:30 or 9am, my copy of The Princess Bride by William Goldman in hand, prepared for the long wait. I don't care. I must see it NOW!!

I am of sound mind and stature, a kind, gentle person with only good intentions. At least, I like to think so. I was certainly raised that way. Mission Accomplished, Parental Units!

Yay, someone else who's read the book! Definitely a case where the book and the movie are not exactly the same, and I still love both. Goldman's a genius.
Right you are. I was pleasantly surprised the first time I read it. It's very different from the movie, and Goldman has an extremely sharp wit that I found quite entertaining. I look forward to reading all his books.
